Reviewers who joined GTT tours often praise the tour leaders and local guides for care and quick problem solving. Many trips to Xinjiang, Iceland, Harbin and Vietnam earned strong marks for organised itineraries, hotels and meals. The praise repeats across many trips, with the same leaders named again and again. Complaints centre on a long-haul flight, a refund deduction after an agency-cancelled Egypt tour, and a Mandarin-only website. One reviewer also reported a rude call to the HR line.

Strong service can depend heavily on who leads the tour. One traveller praised guide Vijay for knowledge and flexibility on a last-minute booking; another paid $560 AUD for 1.5 hours and received only half the promised stops, with no proper guide. Evidence is limited.
