Tour operators in Georgetown, George Town: ranked picks
Georgetown sits at the center of Penang's tour trade, from island getaways to Redang and Lang Tengah to walking tours through the city's UNESCO heritage lanes. We ranked local operators using our methodology, weighing review volume, recency, and what guests actually said about guides, drivers, and trip execution.
Georgetown's core draws two kinds of visitors: those heading out to island resorts and beaches, and those staying put to explore the heritage core on foot or by scooter. That split shows up in the picks below, with island travel agents, food and history walking guides, and motorbike rental and transfer services all serving different trip types.
